STC Delhi Learning Session – 2016

AptraDocs Information Developers Consortium, Noida, was the venue sponsor for the STC Delhi Learning Session, conducted on February 20, 2016.

The event provided valuable information on latest trends related to Usability, Writing, Editing and Tools.

The day started with a round of introduction. Next, there was a very informative and interactive session on Usability and Writing Trends for Technical Writers by Dr. Anu. After that the tea break provided the participants with a good opportunity to network.

The second session by Rinni Mahajan and Rahul Karan was on DocOps, its opportunities and challenges.

The final session concluded with a good discussion on new approaches in Technical Communication that is helping organizations to delight their customers. At the end of this session, the participants were invited to try out new tools and approaches that will help them to do their jobs faster and better.

All the sessions conducted were interactive and were well received. At the end of the event, the participants gave very positive feedback and said that they look forward to such sessions more often in future. This indeed is encouraging for the organizers and sponsors.

STC India is thankful to all the speakers, participants and sponsors for making the day memorable and colourful. We look forward to conducting similar events in future as well.

About the Author

Manisha Khurana has 11 years of experience in technical communication. In addition, she has experience in usability analysis and instructional design. She has worked with telecom and VAS organizations for about nine years. Currently, she is working as Senior Manager for a telecom organization.

Apart from her full-time employment, she is voluntarily associated with STC India as Delhi (NCR) City Representative. She has also served STC India as Secretary (2012), Vice President (2013), President (2014) and Immediate Past President (2015).
