This year’s admin council has completed eight months with many new initiatives, such as blogs, forum, YouTube channel, workshops, and theme-based annual conference. Thanks to our passionate volunteers and our regular sponsors without whom the chapter would not have grown.

For July and August activities, I would like to thank:

• Adobe Technical Communication Suite team for sponsoring STC India webinars for the next two years and for providing support related to recording the webinars through Adobe Connect for continuous education of technical writers in India.
• Radhika for driving the initiative of the STC India blogs and forum portal.
• Vimal for setting up the STC India chapter blogs portal and YouTube channel.
• Mugdha Kulkarni for organizing a wonderful regional conference in Pune and initiating:
  • Session Recordings
  • Newsletter related to the regional conference theme for participants

• Technowrites for sponsoring the video recordings of STC India Pune regional conference sessions and for uploading these video recordings to the STC India chapter YouTube channel.
• Adobe and Cognizant for sponsoring an innovative workshop on Scenario-based Writing and Digital Marketing in Delhi (NCR).
• Mrini for organizing some great Webinars.
• Sumathy Sreekumar for organizing a wonderful learning session in Bangalore.
• Bhawana for organizing the Script for Fame competition to recognize technical writers in India who are using Extend script in FrameMaker.

Now, if you want to share your knowledge but you cannot commit your time for a live session, you can contact our volunteers for recording and sharing your session with technical writers of India. Furthermore, you can access the STC India chapter YouTube channel to view the STC India Pune regional conference videos and some webinar recordings. However, you must subscribe to the STC India chapter YouTube channel to receive information on new videos that are uploaded on this channel.

For the best and most celebrated event for technical writers in India, the STC India annual conference, I am happy to inform you that Joe Welinske has agreed to be the keynote speaker. Again, thanks to Adobe for sponsoring the travel cost of Joe Welinske.
