Prez Talk for June 2015

STC India has had a great start this the year!

We have been conducting learning sessions, workshops and webinars across the cities of Bangalore, Pune, and Hyderabad. We thank all the speakers who take out time from their busy schedules to conduct these events. The volunteers also deserve a special mention for their selfless contribution towards the Technical Communication activities in the chapter.

The 17^th STC India Annual Conference is coming to Pune after a hiatus. The venue for the conference is Hyatt Regency.  The dates are 11^th and 12^th December. We have formed a conference program team under the leadership of Mugdha Kulkarni, who is the Conference Program Manager.  Stay tuned for updates @ the Conference website http://www.stc-india.org/conferences/2015/.

STC India is planning to conduct Job Fairs at Pune, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi and Hyderabad. This initiative is to provide a platform – to enable Technical Communicators advance their careers and employers to hire Technical Writers. Before, initiating this activity, STC India would like to understand the interest level of various stakeholders in this activity. The first-half of the year is complete and we except more learning activities in the remaining part of this year.
